4. The passive- Rewrite the sentence in the passive form. Don’t change the tense
He didn’t close the car. The car wasn't closed by him.
Mr White couldn’t repair the car. The car couldn't be repaired by Mr. White.
Mrs Brown will sign the letter soon. The letter will be signed by Mrs. Brown soon.
They didn’t return the books in time. The books weren't returned by them in time.
At first she opens the mail every day. At first the mail is opened by her every day.
5. Now we go the other way – Rewrite the passive forms into active ones.
The book wasn’t taken by Mary. Mary didn't take the book.
Her lovely dress was made by her grandma. Her grandma made her lovely dress.
The fog was blown away by the warm breeze. The warm breeze blew away the fog.
Many things were stolen by thieves last year. Thieves stole many things last year.
Our exams will be corrected by two English teachers. Two English teachers will correct our exams.
6. Fantastic Conditional 2 Write 5 examples. Start either with: If only had time…. or If I won the big money…
1. If I only had time I would do more sport.
2. If I won the big money I would buy me a new car.
3. If I had found her address, I would have sent her an invitation
4. If John had had the money, he would have bought a Ferrari
5. If I hadn’t studied, I wouldn’t have passed my exams
